mano-Y-ola’s early childhood education team is dedicated to supporting agencies in developing leadership skills through a comprehensive range of services. We understand the unique challenges and requirements of Head Start, Early Head Start, and Community Services Block Grant Programs and are committed to helping them thrive.

 

Each training is developed and customized to “fit” an organization’s culture and needs. Agencies can expect tangible improvements in leadership capabilities, increased self-awareness, enhanced decision-making skills, and improved team dynamics through our services. We strive to empower leaders to inspire and guide their teams effectively, leading to positive outcomes for children, families, and communities.

Coaching

Our coaching services are designed to empower leaders by providing them with personalized guidance and support. Our experienced coaches work closely with program leaders, helping them identify their strengths and areas for growth. Through one-on-one virtual coaching sessions, leaders receive valuable feedback, guidance, and strategies to enhance their leadership capabilities. In addition, we focus on fostering self-awareness, building practical communication skills, and promoting the development of leadership competencies.

Below is a list of Assessments we use during our facilitation of organizational and leadership development trainings. mano-Y-ola draws on research-based assessments to set the stage for that learning to take place. We are able to design and customize unique workshops and programs for small, large, and diverse organizations. These services are available in English and Spanish.

    The Change Navigator® is a resource developed to evaluate an organization's capacity for embracing and enacting change. This tool aids organizations in identifying and measuring their readiness to adapt to and deal with rapid shifts in their environment, especially during difficult periods. With its distinctive methodology for assessing change readiness, the Change Navigator® can be employed in a range of organizational contexts and team scenarios.
  • Change Style Indicator®
    The Change Style Indicator® is a tool crafted to gauge an individual's favored approaches when handling change. It positions the respondent on a spectrum that spans from Conserver to Originator on the ends with Pragmatist in the middle.
  • Decision Style Profile®
    The Decision Style Profile® is a perceptive tool for managerial assessment that delves into the use of five important decision-making styles. It also assesses how appropriate it is to involve or not involve stakeholders in the decision-making process.
  • Influence Style Indicator®
    The Influence Style Indicator® is a tool that helps the respondent determine their preferred style for influencing others, and it aids in enhancing abilities that bolster leadership proficiency.
  • 360˚ Emerging Leaders Profile®
    The 360 Emerging Leaders' Profile® is an evaluation instrument that collects feedback on a leader's distinct management behaviors as seen by others. This tool is crucial in providing a comprehensive perspective on a leader's performance.

Simulations

We also employ work-related simulations to allow teams to learn-by-doing in a safe space where experimentation, failure and learning can occur. There is no development program as powerful as one that helps people learn from a wide range of critical competencies.
